I thoroughly enjoyed the girl who leapt through time. It's rare pedigree for an anime, simple plot but wistful animation and dialogue with so many levels of interpretation.

aye character development? its hard to explained in words, gotta see it to like it yourself. some people do, some people don't but it just appeals to lotsa people although it didn't really to me, but i still <3 rei nonetheless.

What character development? What plot? I can omit 70% of the whole picture and still tell the same story to the same effect.

the movie hardly tells the whole story la, this is a anime that ran for a few years leh.
how can 1 movie explain everything or even begin to start in detail?
and also, evangelion is considered one of the most confusing anime ever i think. so i guess your pretty much good if you can understand it.

Heh, I see. And why is it so confusing? Perhaps whoever wrote that story don't intend to finish it.
But hey might as well, as long as they include more bathing scenes for Rei.

i think it had something to do with end of evangelion which was supposedly the last anime for this series where pretty much all the otakus were out for blood when it was released.
i think thats the reason they did this right gordo? oh, anything with rei already gets a A+ in my view. that blue hair is just....

character development, eg, the cheerful n bossy Asuka who fell into depression, Shinji Ikari from a lonely boy to someone who tot he found a family in Misato n in the very end lost everything again, etc...

Me thinks this "lonely boy in need of a family turned mega hero" theme has been exhausted. Tonnes of people have been doing it. What makes Evangelion so darn special?
