SINGAPORE : Singapore horror movie "Rule #1" is set to hit the big screen on March 13.
The film is directed by award—winning Singaporean director Kelvin Tong, who also brought us "The Maid".
Shot entirely in Hong Kong, it stars Hong Kong actors Shawn Yu and Ekin Cheng, alongside homegrown actress Fiona Xie.
The show is based on phone calls made by the public, reporting about supernatural events.
"(In) this film, we deliberately worked with people from different parts of Asia, in this case with Hong Kong. (We) sort of throw everything up in the air and have something that is fairly unique that we can call as close to our own," said Daniel Yun, CEO of Raintree Pictures.
"It is more than a horror film; it’s a film that explores the psyches of four very important characters. And hopefully, audiences can engage with (the film) at a level that is more than bangs and scares," said director Kelvin Tong. — CNA /ls
Hope is really scary not funny
Rule #2.
Don't make too scary for the little ones ^.^
the storyline a bit like one of hong kong's horror movie,
if i didn't rmb wrongly,
it's
ying yang lu (troublesome night)
(i forgot it's the deejays or public who called in to tell ghost stories)
and in the end, one of deejay die (can't really rmb)
From the trailer, it seems to be a lousy film. But main point is to watch fiona xie.
if its anything like "the maid", wait for the dvd...
"the maid" had some good acting but it wasnt scary to the point that whatever they threw to the audience was from some other movie or story that we all have read somewhere else.
they probably realised how predictable the storyline was so instead of scaring audiences with a good plot, instead they used music and sudden shocks to "scare"... Duhz
Anyway no made in sg movie is worth it to pay the $$$ to watch in a cinema.
