Synopsis:
Based on a very popular Manga series with the same title which began in 2002 (more than 500,000 copies sold), Le Grand Chef tells an action packed story of two young chefs competing in a cooking contest. just watched this show (and countdown in the cinema)
worth watching!
the oni boo is tt the subtitles (eng and chi) took up about half the screen
got some farnie parts
got some relli lao bak sai parts
and i felt relli hungry after watching the show............ -

A romantic comedy about food should evoke some hunger pangs, as well as some mouthwatering oohs and aahs for the sheer visuals of food that you'll probably swear you can smell and taste, if done right. However, the first reactions from Le Grand Chef is "eeeeeeeeeeeee" followed by plenty of reeling from the graphic nature of fresh sashimi preparation. The opening scene is the preparation of fresh golden blowfish, where you'll see the fish still gasping in its last stages of life, snuffed through a deft decapitation of its head, followed by the fins, before skinning it in one fall swoop, disembowelment and the slicing of its meat so thinly that it's translucent.

ctually hor i think the guy in the movie only sacrifice the cow though. grand pa's death is unexpected one. hmm.. i think that in a way, it's all for a purpose. the guy wants to win not because he want success though but win to have the chance to start again.

it's like the anime of the boy chef, and also bits of Iron Chef rolled into one with a romantic comedy and a hilarious side plot about ramen noodles thrown in..
the supporting cast are fricken hilarious...
if it was just the movie itself with no side plots, it would have fallen flat..
look out for the insanely funny subs
