  One thing I don't understand why christian leaders so upset about golden compass but are silent about Lord of the rings

  Go and read the origin story of lord of the rings...the simiarlion( spelling mistake)..
  
  Eru is basically another version of god...
  
  For Narnia...it is even more pro-religion...'the last battle' basically tells us that Aslan is Jesus in another world and form.
  
  Golden compass on the other hand...is bascially insulting christians by saying the mageisterium( AKA the church) is evil.
