The whole point of the movie is to put you in the same shoes as the movie characters to ensure some form of immersion that aims to be deeper than other movies.
Well, that depends on how one sees it. haha.

On another point of view, cool thing is it's filmed entirely to put you in a first person point of view, like you are in the movie itself. Not only do they use the shaky camera technique to achieve this, the way they end so adruptly adds on to this experience as well. It's like as the characters die, you die with them so u hav no idea what happen to the monster in the end as well. Similarly, like the characters in the movie, we have no idea how this monster came from..etc
Oh ya the guy telling everyone at the party that his best friend and the girlfriend had sex is damn bastard la
Actually they got the prequel which is in manga form....best of all its free......

Apart from that ghastly final shot of a man screaming, the entire storyline was very decent, had lots of monsters, lots of blood without the cheesy bang, and nobody walked out of the cinema cursing about how the monsters look like in the end because they were too engrossed in fearing for the outcome of the characters.
THAT is a decent horror / thriller that moves you to a certain extend. Not Cloverfield the junk.

The entire movie was far too absurd and ridiculous to even be realistic. If it were supposed to be far fetched and ridiculous, then at least come up with something close to I Am Legend or War of the Worlds.

Damn i watched the movie yesterday. Smashed.. i say its pretty good. GIven the way its being shot , it gives u the feeling that u are in there n frustrated when the camera is not properly focused on some area's but hey.. it made me more anxious to know.. 'WTF is going on!!' hahaha...
Actually it kinda made my jaw drop at one stage. hahaha.. i didnt know how long my jaw was open. but yeah..
Its a different approach . Not bad.
Stoners movie = Recommended 9/10
was i that smashed... that i actually felt like i am in there.. sucked into the seat and my mind is like in the movie. Not bad chick though. heh
