It is a 2005 Hong Kong martial arts-crime film directed by Wilson Yip. It stars Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung, Simon Yam, and Wu Jing. Yam portrays a retiring police detective who resorts to the use of questionable methods in order to catch Wong Po (Hung), a ruthless Triad boss.

I think Donnie Yen was long popular among many Chinese viewers since he had already had many martial art fighting roles starring in various action Hong Kong Movies and serials before 1997. After 1997 when Mainland China rightfully took over Hong Kong, numerous actors went oversea in their expansion and search for opportunities in arts and acting. A few examples were Chow Yun-fat, Jackie Chan and Jet Li. I believe Donnie Yen did the same. Recent years we began to see their comeback and Donnie had also a few popular roles in movies like "Seven Swords" (backing up Leon Lai), "Hero" (along-side Jet Li) and "Dragon Tiger Gate" (with Nicholas Tze).Originally posted by seotiblizzard:
