Author Mike Enslin's (Cusack) search for the supernatural has come up empty and as a result he's resorted to writing books such as top 10 haunted hotels in which he falsely claims to have had supernatural experiences. Despite the writing of these books his personal belief in the supernatural is far more sceptical. His latest research subject for these books is a hotel room in New York City with an ominous past. In his determination to prove the room's not haunted, Enslin may stumble into a real-life horror story.

If you believe in urban legends, there are some pretty nifty ones out there regarding hotel rooms. You know, the ones about not requesting for a room with a double bed when you're alone, or to check under the bed, cupboards for erm, extras, or the golden rule to knock before entering. Pah! you may say, but some deem them standard operating procedures as you just do not know the history behind the strange room you're going to spend the night in.

my standard procedure when go into hotel room: pray, and ask God to bless the room.
its a rather common practice in my church, cuz its true that stuff do happen in hotel room.
but i heard the movie sucked.. -
