There is an old ghost story in the sleepy town of Ravens Fair about Mary Shaw, a ventriloquist who went mad. As he uncovers the legend of Mary Shaw, Jamie unlocks the story of her curse and the truth behind the song from his childhood: if you see her and scream, you will never speak again.

knn.. the movie poster looks like a book cover of one of R L Stine's books. The plot sounds like one as well.
For info, Stine is a kiddie horror book author. -

I would have preferred 'Saw' anytime much better...
Dead Silence (no offence) has a PLAIN 'DIRECT' and BORING STORYLINE... Except for that little twist in the plot at the end of the movie.... Other than that, there really isn't much to anticipate for.... Some tries on amusing parts perhaps?
You might still see some blood and such, but basically... No much... The atmosphere setting is not bad for some scenes... But the way people get killed is just practically the 'shadow casted over victim' type.....
So maybe for a weekday movie ticket? You might still wanna bet on it...? -
