hmm... this is how i feel... since so many ppl said liao.. so hope i m not spoiler.. jz wan to say how i interpreted the movie.. haha
but bbb & me think totally differently.. maybe i m the only one who think tat way....
"return home with hasty key" == when they want to go back to their "home" (for jay: current time, for rain: past), then they played with hasty key.
but at the last scene.. when jay wan to go back to the past & find rain, he played hasty key, thus he din go back to the past to find rain.. instead, he remain at his current time. end up, he kana hit & died..
i feel that rain has aldy died of asthma attack when she is writing on the table, using liquid paper.
so.. when jay saw rain in the last part... both of them has died... -

i oso interpreted that hasty key is return to actual time: when jay playing hasty key, he will return to his current time, & when rain playing hasty key, she will return to her past.
so that y when jay played hasty key, he remain at his time. thus kana hit & die lor..
& one more thing is.... rem when rain taught jay to play that song, she play super fast... & her face very strange.. i got a feeling, she knew that jay can learn piano keys very fast, so she purposely play fast, so he cant go back to the past to look for her, when he knew the truth... -
