seldom i see a film with 2 climaxs! the first cimax of rescuing rachel and havey dent was awesome. the joker is very clever to swap the 2 locations/hostage. the 2nd climax of the showdown between batman/joker/havey dent was cool too. the people of the 2 ferries didn't blew each others up. touching.

casting heath ledger as joker in the first place would never have occurred to me. he was too much of a good guy in brokeback mountain, monsters ball and knight's tale.
my personal favorite to play joker, joaquin phoenix (walk the line). he's got promise. with some luck, there's probably enough to surpass ledger's performance.
johnny depp has too much recognition behind him. takes the joy out of expectations.

The caped crusader takes a deathly flight into unknown territory in this installment. The terrifyingly unpredictable element known as the Joker has brought Gotham down to its knees, making Batman go all out with new and improved artilleries of criminal destruction. More than just a superhero movie, 'The Dark Knight' as envisioned by Nolan is almost operatic in dimensions, with Bruce Wayne appearing humanly vulnerable yet craftily invincible. The late Heath Ledger gave a final, high-voltage performance which is something akin to if Lucifer was on LSD. -

I dont think there will be the joker in the sequel. Cos usually they dont repeat the villian. Thts wad i think. -

the next movie need to hv a villian who is at the level of
ra's al ghul. sowing total destruction on gotham.who fits the bill?

definitely not the Penguin. director christopher nolan already mentioend he won't be considering that. doesn't seems to fit in the new gotham he created. maybe th cat woman.

yea, his acting and his death stole the show... they should rename the next movie to The Clown, if he was still alive.
