Opens tomorrow.
Fifty years from now, the sun is dying, and mankind is dying with it. Our last hope: a spaceship and a crew of eight men and women. They carry a device which will breathe new life into the star. But deep into their voyage, out of radio contact with Earth, their mission is starting to unravel. I have been a fan of Danny Boyle's movies, though I've watched only but a handful of his movies - Trainspotting, A Life Less Ordinary, The Beach, 28 Days Later and Millions. Teaming up with Alex Garland, who wrote the novel The Beach, and the story for 28 Days Later, they team up again for this futuristic science fiction thriller, where a group of astronauts and scientist, aboard Earth's last hope for salvation - the Icarus II, in an attempt to deliver a "payload" of nukes to the Sun's core, to reignite our solar star and bring warmth back to a freezing Earth.

how do they re-ignite the sun? how long does it takes to reach the sun?

wah lao.. this movie damn fake la.. before they can reach the sun they burn out liao sia.. the atmosphere of the sun a few 1000degrees leh.. damn HOT.. LOL!!
then if it's 50yrs before the sun dies, it will swell into a red giant and sallow the first few planets, including earth and mars ma.. where got time for them to do this kindda stuff..
and some more the sun produce energy equivalent to exploding 100billion-megaton hydrogen bombs per second leh.. then the sun's fuel is hydrogen ma.. where got so much hydrogen for them to last the sun for another few billion years.. lol.. -

Anyone watch it?? I think the pace is abit bad,starting too slow, n gets abit rushed at the end ... and there r some unexplained parts along the plot ... otherwise, maybe 2.5 stars ...
