Bridge To Terabithia

Based on the popular Newbery Award-winning novel, 'Bridge to Terabithia' is a fantasy/adventure story of friendship, family and the power of imagination from the producers of 'The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe.' Jess Aarons(Josh Hutcherson) is an outsider at school and even in his own family. Jess has trained all summer to become the fastest kid in his middle school class but his goal is unexpectedly thwarted by the new girl in school, Leslie Burke (Annasophia Robb) who competes in the "boys only" race and wins.
Despite their awkward introduction, the two outsiders quickly become best friends. Leslie loves to tell stories of fantasy and magic. Jess loves to draw, but until he met Leslie it was something he kept to himself. Leslie opens a new world of imagination for Jess. Together they create the secret kingdom of Terabithia, a magical place only accessible by swinging on an old rope over a stream in the woods near their homes. There, the friends rule the kingdom, fight the Dark Master and his creatures and plot against the school bullies. Thanks to his friendship with Leslie, Jess is changed for good. Any one watched this movie yet? Is it nice?
A guy online asked me whether I free to go watch this movie with him or not. But I don't know should I watch or not since I never see fairytale movies before. -
I digress but prolly the guy isn't that interested in watching the show; do be careful

It started out nice and well paced.
But the ending is super random.
Wont say it sucked. But not masterpiece either -
If you're expecting it to be a 'fantasy' with interesting (rich exploring) storyline and special effects, then you'll be utterly disappointing...
However, if you're more into looking at it as a normal movie about kids and friendship.. Then it's still not that bad..?
Personally I feel that the trailers are misleading.. It's not a movie I would choose to watch especially for a weekend pricing... -

Based on a children's fantasy story written by Katherine Paterson, and produced by the same company that did the latest Chronicles of Narnia, I thought that the movie would probably be mediocre given my lukewarm response to films of similar genre like Pan's Labyrinth and The Last Mimzy. And how wrong was I. Bridge of Terabithia trumps over all the movies mentioned, basically because it had a good story to tell, and stuck to telling that story instead of being distracted by the bells and whistles of special effects.
