THE TEENAGE TEXTBOOK MOVIE.Adapted from Adrian Tan's light-hearted and humorous story about teenagers grappling with growing up in modern-day Singapore, was first published in 1987. Since then, it has undergone several reprints and warranted a sequel, The Teenage Workbook. Both books have sold more than 100,000 copies in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, becoming one of Singapore's best selling novels of all time.
Mega Media financed and produced The Teenage Textbook Movie. The film went on to gross more than S$800,000 and topped the Singapore box office for 4 weeks, beating all the Hollywood films during the 1998 year-end season. The film went on to become a best seller on Video and VCD through Warner Home Video and was the first Singapore feature to be sold to international cable network Cinemax.

Haha. I certainly remember it. It was in primary school when I read that. It was supposedly a controversial book nia.
