I have a similar point of view. Of course in the movie it was scripted that the statues will turn to dust in the light outside the museum. More than this we can learn about the past of different cultures and the way they lived (the night guard had to learn about their way of life if he was to work in the museum every night, more like a zoo-keeper
). I think this movie also highlighted tolerance among people of different cultures and the importance of communication and understanding in the family nucleus.
But most importantly it can be a comedy we all enjoy watching.
