Pure, unadulterated, violent action, true to the visuals of Frank Miller's graphic novel of the same name, based on an imaginative retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, where King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 of his Spartan warriors defended their land against the invading Persian army, led by the self proclaimed god-king Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro).

the original 1962 movie which 300 is based on. Frank Miller was inspired by the movie when he was a kid and wrote the comic.

i find that the ending was a bit anti-climax. even if the spartans lose, i want to see them go down in a big bang, as in a huge showdown.

so to make them look like the strongest warriors like they're, the only way for them to die was to be ambushed and surrounded. -
Enjoy the action and graphics in the movie as it was made.
Thousands of years ago if such a battle of 300 brave men against a million who travelled miles to conquer, the outcome of the battle will always be the same. The lesser will always be outnumbered. Its just how long they can hold out and how well they fought before their last breath. Of course an ambush is more appropriate for the invaders. I wouldn't want to loose more of my men over a mere 300 defenders. If i have a way i will keep them in check and move my main troops on towards the cities. -

I almost threw out when one of the priests lean over and la ji the supra sexy 'oracle'.
The fighting scenes was done superbly. One notch better than Troy anytime. The use of colours and visuals were very fittingly with the kinda choatic world they are in. Man, they (Spartans) died/killed very gracefully. -
