Somehow I get the feeling that those recent chinese swordplay/political film eg... the banquet are just trying to build on the success of Crouching tiger hidden dragon but despite that, none of it has been very successful, any 1 go the same views as me...

Other than a few historical errors... this movie should be nice.
Historical errors:
1) ladies in Tang Dynasty dressed sexily, but they don't squeeze their b0obs.
2) Long finger nails was not in fashion until Qing Dynasty.
3) The rooftop in Tang Dynasty is dark grey instead of yellow. Only in Qing Dynasty, royalties started to use yellow for their roof. -
After I had a peep at the trailer.. I can't help it but everytime I see Jay appeared in that trailer... I was expecting he will suddenly take out a mic and sings.

if this one flops again like zhang yimou's last 2 effort, 'house of flying daggers' and 'hero', i think he should really give up on directing wu xia movies.
for 'house of flying daggers' and 'hero', zhang yimou spent too much effort in the action sequences and cinematography and fails to tell a good story.
when i was watching 'house of flying daggers' yesterday, i can't help but feel how crappy the movie is.
