Russell Mulcahy will direct the third installment of the movies based on the popular video game with Paul Anderson writing the Screenplay.
The title has now been officially confirmed as Resident Evil: Extinction.
Milla Jovovich will again reprise her role as Alice. Mike Epps has also confirmed that he will return.
Sienna Guillory will also reprise her role as Jill Valentine in the third installment
Ali Larter and Chris Egan have joined the cast of Resident Evil 3. Larter will play Claire who leads a convoy across the Nevada desert. Alice joins them in their fight for survival as they battle against the evil Umbrella Corp. Egan plays Mikey.
It has also been anounced that Ashanti will play Nurse Betty.
What's new in the next installment is that Leon Kennedy and Wekser (characters from the game) will be appearing in the film.
Iain Glenn will play the role of the scheming Dr Isaacs.
Odhed Fehr and Sophie Vavasseur will also return.
SYNOPSIS
The movie will be set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun with mutant zombies. Alice now hiding in Nevada, leads a caravan of humans across the desert on a long trek towards Alaska whilst avoiding the hunt of the undead minions of the scheming Dr. Isaacs. I think Paul Anderson should just quit making movies. All his movies look crap to me.
