Jessica Alba to star in Hollywood remake of The Eye

  Paramount is currently in talks with Jessica Alba to star in the remake of the hong kong film of the same name. Renée Zellweger was originally the 1st choice to star but dropped out.
  
  If everything goes sucessful, the film will start shooting later this year.

  If a film is good enough ? Why does hollywood have to go and make a remake of the same story ? From what i think hollywood have a very strong ego where they will never accept any asian films as good . Otherwise why would they waste the time and money to remake some of those asian movies ? Anyway i never like remakes of any films esp done by hollywood . Usually worse then the original .

  hollywood is running out of new ideas, so they are truning to asian films.
