  Can't really say I liked it a whole lot but I suppose it could have been worst. Sandra Bullock is a star. She carries the movie, and that's saying something with the star power behind this film.

  Yes, they did plan to meet. Sandra just had to wait till the next day but Keanu had to wait 2 years. It didn't work out though.

  Ha ha! Exactly! Just trying to explain why they did or did not meet in 2006 is like having to explain a lot more of the story, or else it wouldn't make sense.
  
  ps: They can't meet in 2004 bec at that time, Kate didn't know who Alex is yet. If Alex finds her in 2004 and tells her, she's gonna think he's a nut. But they did sort of meet ...and that's a really really interesting bit of the story...one of the best parts of the movie to me. I mustn't spoil it here.
