There are a lot of Transformers out there. Let a dead character be dead. I hope the sequel would have the original Lambo twins, Sunstreaker & Sideswipe! Since Sunstreaker is yellow, he should transform into Lamborghini Gallardo while the red Sideswipe transforms into Ferrari F430. Or if cannot get Lambo/Ferrari, then use WRX and Evo

I believe the reason why Jazz died in this movie was because he wasn't killed in the 1986 animated movie. In that movie, Optimus, Ironhide and Ratchet were killed. Both Jazz and Bumblebee survived. They don't want to repeat the same thing so they killed off Jazz in this movie.
I think in the sequel Bumblebee would be killed. Anybody remembers Hot Rod? The Autobot who indirectly cause the death of Optimus and at the end of the movie he was given the Matrix and became Rodimus Prime. I think in the sequel Hot Rod will indirectly cause Bumblebee death and while Sam goes emo and sad about 'Bee's death, Hot Rod offered himself to be Sam's car... -

Actually Prowl (the police car) was much higher ranking than Jazz, but he was a more of a military advisor to Prime. The comics of the old days till now, Prowl always seems to be 2nd to Prime.

Good news for Jazz fans
Movie plot
When Jazz arrives on Earth, he scans the new alternate mode of a silver Pontiac Solstice. He is eventually killed in the final battle, firing at Megatron while in the Decepticon leader's colossal grip. He is defiant to the end, as shown in the following dialogue:
Jazz: "You want a piece of me?!"
Megatron: "No... I want two pieces of you!"
With these words Megatron viciously tears Jazz apart. Despite Ironhide and Ratchet's best efforts, Jazz does not survive.
However, a new released Jazz toy from Hasbro and Target with the G1 colors, has a description on Jazz's possible future: "During the long process of being rebuilt by AUTOBOT RATCHET, there was a lot of time to think. AUTOBOT JAZZ digs his Earth vehicle form, but the silver paint job had always left something to be desired. It got scratched too easily, for one thing, and dust stuck to it like cyberflies on old oil. Also, it wasn't nearly eye-catching enough. Just because he's supposed to be in disguise doesn't mean he can't be noticed. With help from BUMBLEBEE and AUTOBOT RATCHET, he picked this color scheme as the one most likely to get him appreciative looks from all the humans he passes on the freeway."
In a recent interview, the movie staff tell of a rumor that jazz will be rebuilt in the possible sequel as a tougher frame. Maintaining the movie look, but with a different color scheme and slight modifications. It is suspected that his restoration is possible with the fragment of allspark found in megatron's chest once he is killed. -
In the sequel, if Barricade (the police car) is still alive, I hope Prowl (who must transform into a police car) is present. Then we can have police car vs police car chase, Robocop vs Robocop, hehe!
