By the way, michale Bay once wanted a Aircraft carrier transformer, sadly he lack enough budget to do so. Maybe we can see the fortress transformer as the aircraft carrier?
Anyway, maybe at the 3rd film, it will be a live action verison of the 1980s transformer movie, with massive amount of transformers fighting each other.
Think this time too little transformers in the movie. -

The movie is damn cool. Though abit fast paced. But its damn cool. The way the vehicles transform.

booking the tix has been a hassle! had to go somewhere ulu & that ulu place was oso full!

just watched ,the cg of the robots and action scenes are cool but the plot is kinda crappy. Its just strange that the army guys would help the kid save bumblebee when they have never met any of the good ones(autobots).

First time so many people want to watch the movie for the second time...

This first movie is just an introduction of the Transformers to the audience. Steven Spielberg wanted this movie to be about a boy and his car. I believe this first movie could have been much better, but then it would go way beyond 2 and a half hours. We only saw Decepticons fighting and not much talk from them, that's my complain about the movie.
From what i read in Transformers forums, the 2nd movie may include Soundwave (that blue cassette player with a face plate like Optimus), Shockwave (the one-eyed face robot), Constructicons and Dinobots. These are not confirmed, although they are trying to find a way to include them. What is confirmed is that the main actors Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox had signed up for the sequels. -

There was never a storybook, i think. But there are Transformers comic. Although the drawings looks like the original G1 cartoons, the stories are not. It is targetted more towards teenagers/adult unlike the cartoons which is for kids. You need to read it more than once to really understand the stories. There was a robot which transform into an aircraft carrier in the original G1 cartoon (3rd season, after Optimus died in the animated movie). His name is Broadside and he is an Autobot. Actually he is a triple-changer and can also transform into a fighter jet.
