It was peculiar, but it might be signs of things to come. When I entered the theatre this evening for the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest gala premiere today at Cathay, on screen was this static frame of the PoTC logo, with the words: "Singapore, Home of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, May 2007". If I may read too much into it, does it mean that there will be no effort spared in having the World Gala of PoTC3 right here on our shores, since Singapore was mentioned in both PoTC1 and PoTC2? And with Chow Yun-Fatt's wife being from here, does it mean we got an additional boost? One can only dream, but you heard it here first.

The movie grossed $55.8 million on its opening day, setting the record for largest opening day, largest single day gross, and largest Friday gross of all time. The previous record was held by Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith with $50 million.
It's opening weekend gross stands at $135 million which beats the previous all time opening weekend set by Spider-Man of $115 million as well as the fastest movie to gross $100 million, doing so in just 2 days. -

This show is ok for a weekday $7. Action? Yes. Laughs? Yes. Ending? NO... This show is 2hr plus and it jz ended with a matrix reloaded style. same ship gone, main hero unknown state, n left with the crew finding a way to get hero back... n it jz ends there tempting u to watch the next instalment maybe asking who does eliza likes, will Will still end up with eliza or will it be jack n eliza... pretty disappointed with this ending cos i would jz hope for a 3hr show to finish this show clean... ok entertainment if u r bored... -
