He grabs a villager, strips her in one swoop and tears her body in half like shredding paper. And the scene where bard wires run thru a body and makes a fountain out of it, marvellous. -

Never piss a mother off by taking away or threatening her child. We've seen plenty of tough mamas in contemporary movies, and Jodie Foster comes to mind in having personified the tough-as-nails mum in Panic Room and Flight Plan. NO, she doesn't have a part to play in Silent Hill, but the premise, about a mother on a journey to recover her daughter from the clutches of harm, couldn't be more familiar.

It is GOOD.
The plot.
The effects. Nicely blended to the environments and settings of the story...
The atmosphere.
The provoking thoughts within the play.
The blood and gore.
The beliefs and misbeliefs.
Challenge your faith?
Now I'm beginning to take it as a pity that I didn't play the game when I had the chance to.... -

I didn't enjoy the plot as much. Maybe because i missed out on the game.
Bkground music - soild, one of the best.
Gfx - good. Details and lighting creates mood and atomspheric effects.
Cast - hmm....ok.
Overall - Enjoyable movie, kind of like BioHazard/Resident Evil.
Not worth to pay for weekend ticket. -

theres this dark, creepy vibe throughout the movie lah, the first i felt in any horror movie...besides uzumaki lah. lol. but the monsters are really freaky! esp the janitor and red pyramid...knns..

the movie is really like the game! my boyfriend and i kept exclaiming, "wa...very silent hill!" i dunno how to explain la. i think it is kinda close to the game...the places..the music. whaha. even got those sexy nurses! haha. nice nice. when i watch the movie, it's like watching the game, except that this time, you are not playing it ba. i love the music! very creepy! but i think the actors and actresses were like bleahhhh. which is okay la. same as the game characters. hahahaha! -
the movie was quite good.. was engaged thru out the movie even during the gore. unlike fd3 where i covered my eyes half the show
