Based on the MTV animated series created by Peter Chung, "Aeon Flux" is set 400 years in the future, when disease has wiped out the majority of the earth's population except for one walled, protected city-state, Bregna, ruled by a congress of scientists. The story centers on Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron), the top operative in the underground 'Monican' rebellion - led by The Handler (Frances McDormand). When Aeon is sent on a mission to kill a government leader, she uncovers a world of secrets.

Pretty good trailer... I am hoping that it won't be a disappointment like other shows with impressive trailers...

So except for hardcore Aeon fans, or admirers of Theron, this film could prove to be unappealing given its relatively weak sci-fi story as the backbone. Ooh, I must rave again, Theron looks absolutely gorgeous with her uber-chic hairdo and slinky black lycra.

Is it really worth the money and time to watch AeonFlux? The trailer was appealing, but I've heard some weak comments from my friends.

plot's weak and on top of that i feel it draws many references to a certain movie by scarlett johansson and ewan mcgregor -

Never watch this show man... the impact is not as strong as The Island in sending out the hidden message in the first place, and the story line was really out of place, in and out and confuses the audience, only to reveal it all too willingly towards the end, and that wasn't really the climactic part, in fact it was more rather an anti-climactic though... but I give a thumbs up for the effort on the shooting and action... really cool... reminds me of MI2 (Tom Cruise) and Dragon Squad (Sammo Hung, Donnie Yen)...
