Just checked, US edition will be out in late November. Should be in dual sound in japanese and english with the standard english subtitle. guess we will just have to wait then.
anyway below is the DVD cover for the japanese version, think some places here are selling but very costly.
left: Standard Edition, right: Limited Edition.

The animation is pure crap when compared to Final Fantasy: Spirits Within in my opinion. The flow of hair and facial features in Final Fantasy the Movie is stunningly realistic. I have never witnessed such realism in a CG world; at least, in the history of cinema.
Well, the action sequence in FFVII Advent Children is commendable though the same cannot be said to the CG. I wonder if Advent Children was made based on the PS3 platform.
I am sure it falls short when compared to Final Fantasy: Spirits Within. -

actually i find that Final Flight of the Osiris from the Animatrix is the best realistic computer animation i have seen so far.
