  Flying at 40,000 feet from Berlin to New York, Kyle Pratt (Foster) faces every mother's worst nightmare when her young daughter Julia (Lawston) vanishes mid-flight. Already emotionally devastated by the unexpected death of her husband, Kyle desperately struggles to prove her sanity to the disbelieving flight crew and passengers, while facing the very real possibility that she may be losing her mind. Though neither Captain Rich (Bean), nor Air Marshal Gene Carson (Sarsgaard) want to doubt the bereaved widow, all evidence indicates that her daughter was never on board, resulting in paranoia and doubt among the passengers and crew of the plane. Desperately alone, Kyle can only rely on her own wits to solve the mystery and save her daughter.

  Sadly, the whole plot spirals down the drain after you know her daughter is alive and well. Did I just mention a spoiler?

  Somehow I found this show quite typical of other shows, but no matter, the script was written before 2000, hence it may coincide with most sudden memory loss type of show...
  
  Jodie Foster's irritating attitude was well placed and somehow she went overboard to go and ask the captain to apologize to her even though her requirements are already met... Potong steam!
  
  Should have let the captain go and then she gets locked up with the bad guy inside and then the real show begins.

  I was so enticed to shut off my media player when I saw her daughter sleeping soundly in the plane's freight deck.

  Would you believe its just a terrorist plot to hijack a plane. Wah lau, if they didn't show her daughter safe and sound at half time, I sure watch finish it one.

  It's Panic Room in the skies! This is the second inflight entertainment (pardon the jab) movie from Hollywood this year, the other being Wes Craven's recent Red Eye. Jodie Foster again plays a vulnerable yet tough as nails mum, who is on a flight with her six year old daughter from Berlin to New York, taking with them the body of their recently deceased husband/father in a coffin (in the cargo hold of course).

  Its not that bad, the twist is very unexpected but very farfetched. but still the movie is better than I thought starting part is boring though.

  so coincident hor? jodie foster happens to be a aeroplane architect and so nice she is also 1 of the people who help designed the plane she is on, making her able to navigate the every inch of the plane in search of her daughter without difficulties.
