Btw, TuaTau, is Rabbit Proof Fence very preachy? I don't normally like obviously preachy movies.

For me, I watched it for the beautiful cinematography, inspiring story and great acting from the child actresses.
If you don't mind watching Aboriginal movies, "Once Were Warriors" and "Whale Rider" are also good Maori movies from the land of the kiwi, also recently known as "Middle Earth" -- New Zealand.

also, may i suggest, if you have a deranged sense of humour like me, the trilogy of lunacy by Peter Jackson, Meet The Feebles, Bad Taste and Brain Dead (also known as Dead-Alive)

I just watched A Very Long Engagement cos it was a recommended movie in my French class...
I have also watched Amelie and I Love You, I Love You Not...
If you notice, they are all French movies and they also have Audrey Tautou in it, whom I think is a very good actress....

"He Ni Zai Yi Qi (Together)" by Chen Kaige of "Ba Wang Bie Ji (Farewell My Concubine)" fame was a well-intentioned effort, though some may find it a bit too sappy. Chen is coming up with another new movie with Korean actor Jang Dong-gun "Wu Ji (The Promise)". Let's hope that lives up to its "promise".

Originally posted by alexkusu:Yes, but one would probably not recommend it, especially if you've watched "Once Were Warriors" and would naturally make comparisons.
i think there's a sequel to Once Were Warriors. The movie is called
"What Becomes of the Broken Hearted"
