Corpse Bride carries on in the dark, romantic tradition of Burton's classic films Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Set in a 19th century European village, this stop-motion, animated feature follows the story of Victor (Depp), a young man who is whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride (Bonham-Carter), while his real bride, Victoria (Watson), waits bereft in the land of the living. Though life in the Land of the Dead proves to be a lot more colorful than his strict Victorian upbringing, Victor learns that there is nothing in this world, or the next, that can keep him away from his one true love. It's a tale of optimism, romance and a very lively afterlife, told in classic Tim Burton style.

A Nutshell Review: Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Tim Burton and Johnny Depp? Sign me up for it, anytime! I've pretty much enjoyed their collaborations, from Edward Scissorhands to Sleepy Hollow. Hot off the heals from their box-office success Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, their latest collaboration sees Depp lending his voice to Burton's macabre vision in a stop motion animated movie, along the veins of Nightmare Before Christmas (NBC).
The story's a little bizarre, a little morbid, but hey, it's Burton on familiar grounds. The Von Dorts and the Everglots have agreed to an arrange marriage between their children Victor (Depp) and Victoria (Emily Watson), but Victor, fumbling the marriage rehearsals, runs away to seek solace, and accidentally unleashes the Corpse Bride Emily (Helena Bonham Carter, giving the character an impeccable Brit accent). So begins a crazy love triangle of sorts, involving characters from both the realm of the living and the dead.

Its an entertaining hilarious show albeit short, like 1 hr 15 min?? Enjoyable but also does not leave much of an impression

i enjoyed Corpse Bride i guess... half the time, dunno whether to laugh heartily or cringe at the eyeball popping, bone breaking, body mutilating scenes....

Should be watching it soon...
Oh, and i must say Johnny Depp and Tim Burton partnerships tend to work out really well...think Edward Scissorhands and Charlie/the chocolate factory. -

Oh the living bride married (Victoria) to Victor, the corpse bride, Emily gave Victor to Victoria coz she was once robbed off her happiness of being married, and she don't want to do the same thing to another person by taking Victor away... so as Victor was about to drink the poison potion, she took it away from him...
They found the corpse bride true husband-to-be who left her behind, but he was killed eventually out of his greed... -
