Should they at least prevent those snotty, hormonally imbalanced, and acne scarred individuals from entry into a theatre w/o being accompanied by someone over 16?
The problem is that these people annoy the hell out of me. Many of them are just there to try and cop a feel of their female companions in the dark anyway. Many others appear more interested in taking pot shots at others with their pop corn. But the real problem comes when these 'individuals' arrive in a crowd. Then, the herd instinct take over and they start behaving (even more) like arse holes. They start talking to each other loudly, putting their feet on the seat in front of them, texting, etc. In short, they generally coudn't care less about what is happening on screen unless, of course, it involves sex, nudity and lots of explosions. Anything more profound (IE Not involving any sex, nudity and lots of explosion) would generally be beyond their sex-crazed and intellectually undeveloped brain.
Further, those between 13- 16 generally stink of sweat and musk.
Re those below 10, i see no good reason for their presence in the cinema. They do not understand the movie anyway and they are prone to crying and such sagely utterances as "mummy...BLA bla bla...".
In the case of those 10 -13, restricting them from entry would not affect them anyway since they rarely get to go to the cinema alone (if at all); Streaming and PSLE serves to keep them at home with their books.
In summary, i feel that these people should not be allowed entry into a theatre unless they are accompanied by someone over the age of 16.
Please tell your friendly neighbourhood cinema manager about my proposal if you support it.
Den who will watch movies then? Where will the cinema operators earn their revenue? I'm 17 now.. i can tell you age group 13-16 are very regular movie-goers. It will cause revenue for the cinema operators to decrease significantly. Plus if you ban under 16s, who will watch movies during 9am-5pm? Cinemas will onli need to operate at night?! Price will increase again no doubt! So do you think they will consider your suggestions?
People choke when eating fishballs, so do we ban fishballs? Certainly there is other ways of doing things.
As for teens petting or doing what haf you in the cinema, why are you looking at them in the first place? you should be concentrating on the movie. Pls note that couples age 16 and above do do such stuff ( intimate stuff) in cinemas too.
I have to agree that some young kids do not behave themselves. But banning the whole age group is certainly unfair and harsh. Perhaps ushers can 'patrol' the theatres. Keep out children in NC-16 shows etc as well.
