i've watched it oredi. Mus admit that the flim itself is being flimed in a slick, comic type kinda style. Unique fliming style but the story kind sucks. Plot is quite weak.

Just watched this and Wow.
Its noir. It has style, gratuitous violence, and its chockful of beautiful women. What more can a man ask for?

Yep, compared to say, The Bride, Miho kicked asses with less effort (and less words). Fluid, economical yet lethal strokes... Rodriguez might have taken some cue from "Zatoichi".
Rourke as Marv impressed me the most. His tragic hero character kinda reminded me of Xiao Feng from the Chinese novel "Tian Long Ba Bu". Wasn't as moved when reading Miller's graphic novel as when watching Rourke's performance.
May I forward a question asked by someone: Why did Wendy become Goldie after Marv has avenged her sister? Tried to answer it, but I don't think someone was convinced... -

Put it this way. Her sister is a whore. Well, both of them are. No one really cares about them. Her death would not be investigated or mourned except by her.
Marv cared tremoudously and deeply for Goldie. In his words "worth killing for, worth dying for, worth going to hell for"
Marv avenged Goldie and as such her sister which feels gratitude tells Marv to call her "Goldie" as they both feel their loss deeply.
By the way, Marv's dying scene was kick ass. "Its that all you got, you pansies!" -

A Nutshell Review: Sin City
The long wait is over. After 5 long months, Sin City has finally made it to our shores, passed uncut. And watching it somehow brought a smile to my face, not that I'm extremely pleased with the gratuitous violence and nudity, but because it stuck to the source material so well, you feel as if you're reading the book and hearing the audiotape (if there is one) at the same time.
For the uninitiated, the Sin City comics consists of various storylines, some of which are adapted for the screen. Created by Frank Miller, he also serves as co-director, which probably explains that this big screen adaptation is as faithful as you can get.
