  sidetracking a lil here, anyone still remember the chinese version of this movie? Phantom played by Leslie Cheung. the songs in that movie were ~~~ too.

  yeah...I remeber that movie!!! very sad one....his voice was good...I can hear the song from that movie playing in my head...great talent lost.........

  There's a reason why it was written 1st as a musical. It's the enjoyment of the vocal talent of the stage actors live with the music. Somehow or rather, I feel movie gives you only the satisfaction of seeing everything up close. The music is pre-recorded afterall.
  
  Called me nit-picking...bside catching Chigaco for the all-star Hollywood cast. I still think u got 2 experienced musicals in its original state instead of settling 4 substitute of the celluloid format.

  i absolutely agreed... but not many can pay $150 for a tic, $8.50 is definitely more affordable for the masses.....

  i was at century square. unless you were with your gf, or else it couldn't be you. all couples in the cinema. me lightbulb to my sis and her bf. got another lonely woman 2 seats away from me also.
