  Not a bad movie. i have always loved movies where characters sing their dialogue hehe..
  
  i have never watched the real musical before, but the songs were familiar and heart-wrenching. the plot is pretty alright and was enhanced by a super chio lead female actress..and what's best is, she sang all the songs! her voice is frigging good. and her body is even better....even i drooled.
  
  it was a bit longer than 2 hours. was a bit draggy lar, but overall it was alright.

  tat time when the musical was in town, i refused to go and see...... scared bored mah....
  
  christmas day went to see, cos i NOT gonna spend $8.50 on kungfu..... and i was totally won over!!! the movie is really good.... the songs... oh the songs.....
  
  it was over 2hrs meh? din feel it at all....
  
  now i strangling myself for refusing to watch the musical.......

  Though they were in SG in 1995 (nearly ten yrs ago), I nv regretted paying 150 odd for the ticket...

  if ticket sales for the movie reaches a sunbstantial amount. It could jolly well prompt them to bring it back to sg!
