U 571 was so exagerrated.. the boat just doesnt sinkOriginally posted by delonchew:Good morning all.
Here's delonchew to add on to another thread in the Movies forum. Which is/are the war flick(s) that you really enjoyed watching?
For me,
1. Courage Under Fire (starring Denzel Washington and Meg Ryan)
2. Pearl Harbour (starring Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett)
3. U-571 (starring Matthew McConaughey)
Well, I think we all watch war movies for the action, isn't it?Originally posted by kopiosatu:I watched ONE navy movie...
Down Periscope.
Other than that... I liked "A Few Good Men". That show was good, but there was no chionging at all.
YES!!! I liked this one very much! Cuba Gooding Jr is one good actor.Originally posted by RSP:speaking of navy movies, anyone enjoyed the "Men of honour" as much as I did? It was a great movie.

watched full metal jacket during BMT, that sergent deserved to dieOriginally posted by kopiosatu:War flicks eh... muahahahahahah my favourite!
Saving Private Ryan - The one that got me started. Nothing beats the first 20 minutes.
Dirty Dozen - My father used to like it, I borrowed a VCD to see how good it was, its not bad.
Black Hawk Down - Hoo-ya! Its FIBUA!
We Were Soldiers - Its field camp!
Windtalkers - Too boring for me
Pearl Harbour - Never ever watched it when I found out there was a love story behind all that. From the previews I thought it was another Private Ryan kinda movie.
Thin Red Line - Too slow moving for me, more artistic than realistic
Hamburger Hill - Slow moving movie, but its alright
Platoon - Want to catch this one... when I watched it during BMT, everything was so damn dark and we had to go for training halfway through the movie. Will get it soon
Enemy At The Gates - 2 Snipers, its like watching WWII Counter Strike with girl/brother love story and of course the girl/best friend dies.
U-571 - Navy, not for me. Never watched before.
Top Gun - Makes looking good a requirement to be a pilot.
Band of Brothers (Mini-series) - THIS is a GOOD one, highly recommended.
Full Metal Jacket - Good violence at that time... Private Joker.
