churra's horror flick reminds me of this movie....
Pedro Almodovar has a knack of making the most whacky and endearing movies with deranged characters
his movies made Antonio Banderas... here in this movie, he plays a deranged character who is released from a lunatic asylum much to the distress of the head matron (who uses him for sexual pleasure)... he proceeds to go off to kidnap an ex-pornstar whom he had a one-night stand with when he escaped before in order to make her fall in love with him...
the ex-pornstar is now a legitimite movie star and the director in the movie is obsessed with her and does not want to finish the movie...
after all kinds of madness, he actually succeeds in making her fall for him!
and the kooky ending has a kind of strange and surreal warmth that somehow fits in the whole movie
a must-watch if you can get your hands on this movie.. other movies include Kika and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown -

coz all of almodovar's movies are rated R for their insane raunchy humour...
like in Kika, he somehow turned a traumatic event of a rape scene into something farcical!

here's something not well known.. but i loved the way the movie went like a comic-book story.. and the soundtrack!
featured Diane Lane as Ellen Aim, rock star who comes home to perform.. she is kidnapped by Raven, the leader of a street gang, The Bombers... and in comes Tom Cody, her old boyfriend who was from the army to save her...
and in the end, he leaves her as she performs for her town.. because he has no place beside her... and she continues to sing her heart out, with tears in her eyes onstage...
soundtrack by Fire Inc, Dan Hartman, The Blasters... everything in the movie just blended nicely..
and Diane Lane was HOT in the movie!
