Worked for 4 years and no job title change

I have worked for 4 years since a fresh graduate. After 4 years now the company did not give me any job title change but more increment of like 9 %. Those that joined the company for only 3 years and all awarded a job title change. I felt that the company left me out. What should i do?

First of all, gotta see ur position...
Senior position takes longer to get promoted, but since you are a fresh grad, I presume you are holding entry position.
For Job Title Change, got to see your job position. For example, if you are "Accountant" (not account asst), some company/department might not have a "Senior Accountant" position, thus, you are not able to go on job title change.
Another reason is that there is no position availiable, ie: no one above got promoted or left company or no new estab. Thus no vacany.
And if the ppl who get job title change are in the same dept and doing the same thing as you, then something must be wrong. Approach your reporting officer (or boss) in a non-hostile way for a 1-to-1 chat. It might be that you are not performing as well as ur peers or something goes wrong somewhere.

i presume you were looking for promotion when you mentioned job title change. before you even ask why you did not get it, ask yourself if you have proven yourself to the company that you are able to undertake a higher level of responsibility that befits that bigger title. promotion is based on merit, not no. of years of service. if you work 10 years but have been doing the same thing, why should the company promote you?
