Collegues don't want to teach you

who here got experience this situation. what happen when your collegue don't want to teach you. did you get sack because you don't know how to do the job.
I am experiencing this now. I just joined this company because got a staff who will be leaving soon. 2 more weeks she will leave and she now bo xin teach me. teach me half half only.
because this job only she doing and only she know how to do so once she leave there won't be anyone to teach me already.
i got a feeling that I will get sack once she leave because I don't know how to do the job and there is no one else to teach me.

Well, there's really nothing much you can do about it.....you will have to keep a record of everything you learn......ask more....any question or doubts, ask....

It is very imperative and urgent that you let your immediate boss know about the situation. When you tell him or her about it, don't make it sound you are complaining.

once she leaves, you will be the only one that knows how to do, even though its half fuck...
they cant possibly ask you to leave and then re-employ some one that is absolute alien to what you are doing...

lol, totally. i was stuck in this situation for many months, made me feel like quitting. this woman who was leaving (China PRC) didn't want to teach me anything, and since i didnt know about some stuff, i totally didn't know need to do.. whatever i asked her i had to PRY the answer out of her. its sad and tough cos im not one who finds it easy to open mouth..but i gritted my teeth and somehow made it through..although i did make lots of mistakes. what to do, im diploma and dumped to work in a job for degree (becos the boss had no other choice), have to do loads of stuff i nv even came across before.
my tips.. (what i did) was to keep going to the immediate boss/spv to say that this colleague doesn't want to teach me, i have no idea how to do, ask him if there is anyone in the company (even if there isn't - just to let him/her know that you are serious in looking for help) who can help me.

actually what you said is truth. i knew that too, that was why i dared to approach my boss/spv so many times although it was 'my job' to do it well. (hint: to research everything myself)
