  but hor... many ple pronounce as cla-yant leh..
  
  so where does cla-yant come from?
  
  so which one is correct? or both acceptable?

  u see ah.. when u pronounce as cline, some people may not be able to catch what u are saying cos its an uncommon pratise of saying the correct pronunciation in Singapore.. esp people who speak client as cli-ent most of the time...
