Any one got ideas how to fend off question in interviews? like those stupid and irritating questions such as:
Tell us your strengths
greatest achievement
tell more about yourself.
etc
Help point the light at end of the tunnel? how to manipulate the interviewer to give you the job?

It's easier to see where you might go 'wrong' or what kind of questions you need help with. -
emphasize on strengths that make you seem suitable for the job, on why you will be so useful for this job
depending on job scope, I would say:
teamwork (leader?)
successful projects handled (related to job)
personalities (try to fit into company)
own goals (align to company goals) -

Anyway they also won't expect much from you. All fresh grads do not have much experience anyway... What is your degree btw?

well...like keep promoting wad the employers or whoever are looking for norhs...
tell bout yourself...those teamwork..responsibility~...resposisive..and best is to have the ability to cope*as in..deal in many different situations...
they would love ppl of this sort bahs..
best is with experience examples..
erm...to deal with nervous and stress on interviews you can actually write down and practise certain phrases about those...
you just try to sell yourself that's all=X

Do some research into the company beforehand and describe your strengths that fit the company culture.
If you are green to the working world, kindly state your greatest achievement in your school life no matter how insignificant it may be, it may help you have a leg up your competitor.
Describe your work ethics, likes and dislikes, plans for further studies, etc...... -
The tactic to succeeding at interviews is not to manipulate/ dominate the interviewer but to mirror and get the interviewer to be on your side.
The more stoo-pid the questions, the more ticky they are! They test your ability to give answers relevant to the question asked. When asked about your strengths, tell them what you are good at in relation to the job applied and not that you can maintain an erection for 6 hours lor! (relevance)
At all times, relax and be yourself but be alert and not get distracted. Watch the way you carry yourself. Showing a horny expression on your face leads to an automatic failure! -

I mean wat r u gonna do when u know my strengths?? It's how i do the job well that matters isnt it? Even if i just say my strengths r this, this and this...then when start work i suck then how??
And telling u more about myself?? Isn't the damn resume detailed enuff?? I dont get it...wat else u wanna know??
I went 4 an interview once and the interviewer asked me if i was singaporean when he clearly had a copy of my resume beforehand and its stated on it that i am indeed sgean...
Nowadays the quality of interviewers is goin' downhill

aiyo, dun tell me u never did any project in school? Dun have to base on ur work experience. It is the skill that u acquired during ur life that can be invaluable to the company. When answering question, think like a salesman. What does the customer want and how u can fulfil their needs. Relate their need to ur ability. Learn to speak confidently and phrase your answer in your mind before u speak. Normally a delay in answering is actually a good thing. It give ppl the impression that u think b4 u speak. Practise talking to a mirror and see uself in action.
If you have no idea what to answer or how to relate it to urself, try google the most commonly ask question and answer in an interview. Dun memorise it, instead try relating them to u and rephrasing them, juz like the way you would normally answer. That way, it sound nature and believable.
Half the battle is won depending on how u carry urself during the interview. If u can do that, the chances of getting the job isn't that hard. -
