Paper usage

According to a recent article in the papers, local companies are using more and more paper.
this kinda reminds me of a ex-colleague. every single little thing he also wants to print it out. very waste paper.
any comments? -
When printing, I usually print on both sides of the paper whenever possible, or recycle the paper, e.g. print on the back page of used paper when printing not-so-impt documents, or drafts, but that's bec I have my a printer next to me, so it's easy for me to flip the paper over. For colleagues who don't have a printer nearby, I realise it may be troublesome for them to try to print on both sides.

in my old office there is a tray to collect used paper from wrong printing, overprinting, junk faxes
these paper will be re-used for inhouse printing for non-commercial purposes like memos for staff to read or notes for internal meetings....... -

See lah my previous company the information very organized and mainatin very high accessibility so i actually cut down lots of paper printing although i actually printed a lot of drawings 9but still on both sides of the sheet). Now company evvery now and the have to print because information not so easy to extract and search for
have to print and keep first in a file -
i will only print if it is really necessary. other than that i will just write it down.
those use for references and not so important docs i will print it on the 2nd page of used papers.
printing so many paper alsoe very troubleshoot to keep. make the whole desk very messy. -
I'm a very bad example.
A3, A2, A0 size, all I print, make duplicates, never use also make copy. I have a A0 size photocopier in the office, perfect duplicates in the exact size 2 mins tops. -
A paper recycling department shd be created in the office
unwanted paper all collected and sent to recycling department , they will just remake the paper then sent for cutting next door and redistribute to the various office -
They'll take a cut of your pay to fund that department. Any takers?

my office for about 190+ copiers got to top up least 4 rims/copier a day.

paper usage.. lol.. a day.. 30 reports to various companies n departments all between 50 to 150 pages per report. LOL..
i personally dun do much photostating but i admit if wrong i just chuck it to one side. LOL! to the recycle pile. -
To some they prefer to have a hard-copy in hand rather than a soft-copy over at the computer. Probably a previous HDD crash incident that wipes out their data making them so paranoid.
To me i prefer soft-copies to hard-copies. Easy to arrange, keep and bring about. The added time-stamp works wonders in telling which version is the latest too lolx. Though sometimes I still prefer reading over paper than screen lolx. (P.S they should invent a monitor screen that looks and feels like paper haha) -

I am sure you have to roll them up and transport them all over the place in a tube.
