Yea, I would agree attitude matters. It is the way you carry yourself and the confidence you have regarding your job. For me, even if I am not really confident about a job I am supposed to handle, I will just pretend like I am, and figure it out on my own later. No point showing my lack of confidence in certain things to the management, it just makes them panic and lose trust in meOriginally posted by NekoRin:

Back to topic, I do agree that bosses often have priority for employees with better than average looks. It depends on the type of job too, for example, HR personnel looks tend have alot more weight in promotion than people in the maintainence department as they are more likely to spend more time dealing with customers/clients.
It goes down to one thing in the end. If an employee has a positive attitude, confidence, dresses appropriately for the job and performs well. It does make him/her look better in the eyes of the employer, even if he/she does poorly in the looks department.
