Dilemma

I am facing a dilemma now...
Let me just briefly go thru the history...
I was having lunch one day, when i bumped into one of the senior management. He asked if he could join me for lunch...i agreed..
during the lunch, he asked me about my past working experience etc....and was shocked to know ( i am a low profile staff in the company)
months later...i got a job offer from a company that I have been want to join...they are offering me with a 20% increment and a career prospect...i accepted the job offer happily and tendered my resignation with my current company...
days after i have tendered, that senior management approached me and asked me to go over to assist him.
he told me that he can match the salary etc etc....but the job is not specified.
i decided against the offer partly because he is my boss's loggerhead in the company...and also because i have got an offer from the company that i have always wanted to join.
then yesterday, he met up with me again...i told him me decision..
he was very disappointed but asked me to think thru the proposition again..this time he wants me to supervise a dept
supervise a dept..wow...but the dept in perspective is my current dept..already a existing mgr is not very song with me liao..cos when i joined the current company 1 year ago, my starting salary was like 2/3 higher than hers...( i am also a mgr but my responsibility is very diff from her, much higher level iwould say)
being the supervisor of the dept...i cant imagine what kind of reaction i will be getting from her...
so what do all of u think?
join the other company or stay with the current company? -
If I were you, I would join the new co, and start afresh. There is too much "history" and complications in the current one.
