If never ask, how to work together?Originally posted by browniebaobao:Read TODAY newspaper.
Job applicants might not see fields like 'gender', 'marital status', 'religion', 'race' etc and a recent colour photograph might not be required anymore on job application forms to avoid discrimination.
I wonder, how many of you were being discriminated at job interviews before? Do you think this is a good idea?

Adverts are adverts. If they want to screen out people, they will still do so looking at personal particulars filled in.Originally posted by browniebaobao:u sure?
I applied for a few jobs last month, still have to fill up everything in detail leh.
so for this thread seems now an empty talk only...first we r so happy that we wun need to suffer discrimination of one kind or the other, based on working ability rather than looks and paper qualification....in the end this new rule still turns one big round back to square like Parka have mentioned....Originally posted by Parka:Adverts are adverts. as parka mentioned. the rule applies to advertisments.Originally posted by browniebaobao:u sure?

i think hor, juz the particulars are not enough leh..
muz also remove those questions at the end of the application form, such as
1) Are you suffering from any illness?
2) Have you ever declared bankrupt?
3) Have u ever been summoned to court blah blah..
especially for the first one, i really duno should i fill in or not.. what does 'illness' mean?
