Reorganisation, Restructure, Reshuffle

In my 4.5 years in the same co, I kena reorganisation 3 times already. Everytime it happens, job titles change, bosses may change, job scope may change, seating arrangement may change, and door signs get changed.
I wonder if there's any real meaning in the reorganisations, or are the repeated reorganisations just a reflection of poor management?

different bosses have different way of doing things. it's a typical practice of new boss to introduce new changes. but sometimes they don't understand that existing staffs might not like the changes at all.

insecure and trying to show his boss he's doing something...
what is bad is the "reorganisation" which causes more work to be done for less results.. which is what happens a lot in my organisation -
if change for the better, then it's good
but if change liao becomes worse, then gotto change back again - this is very common -
aiya, think about what you're do if you are the big boss/ceo, etc. When u come into a company to take over, u want to leave your legacy mah, so hasty get your immediate managers to do some studies on the process and you change it!!
So in your track record at least have: "the ceo who did this to improve this process"
As long as any big shot come into the company, the nearer you are to him/her, the faster something will change.
Generally within 3-6 mths.
My new boss come in only 2 week later office have renovation....lost my corner low profile seat...now my seat very expose one... -

Well, the current chief reorg 2x, the 3rd one was by a divisional chief for his own divisional, but they always give similar reasons for the reorg, e.g. for better management, operational efficiency, blah blah, that sort...Originally posted by choco B:What was he trying to achieve those 3 times?

sometimes new bosses who resigned from their previous companies like to introduce his old company's ideas into his new company. but as i mentioned earlier, not all the staff will like the changes. cos the new boss might not even understand how the current company system works yet want to introduce new ideas.

i never understood this.. they didn't like their old company so they resigned..
then they try to make the new company like their old company?
