I used to have a boss like that. The worse thing is he doesn't chat, he just talked to you about work, i.e. just give instructions. And he doesn't say good morning to any of his own staff or even smile when he comes in. More cold, right?
Luckily, he resigned soon after, and I heard he became a freelance trainer.

draw a clear line mah.
i dun think it's necessary to talk abt my family or watever with my colleagues. I only do it when I feel like it. But I'm always tactful.
