Since realy decided die die want resign, i will state the reason as $$$$$. See the boss willing to retain u by raising yr pay. If not, also neber mind cos anyway leaving mah

i will usually only tender my resignation after i have secured a job sumwhere else...
i tot i cud quit this july and go to spore to work, but looks like situation is not permitting
i mite have to stick here until maybe end of this year or next year
depends on ur employment contract also, usually will need u to give at least 1 month notice, and of cos if u wan to get a good testimonial to give to ur next employer, better to leave when everyone is happy

i'm ok with my job. just that i'm not happy with the customers i'm working with everyday. so if i were to resign, i will make sure my boss give me a rise to retain me.

i gave a hint of my intention to resign if they force me to handle more workload, as now my current job already made me very busy and stressed out...
just now my superior immediately messaged me and told me that they are hiring another lecturer to handle the new course, I don't need to worry about the extra workload oledi -

No need technique wan lah........ as long as your letter is very clear as to the facts and the exact date of your last day of service (because you have to serve notice as per Section 10 of the Employment Act mah........). Hence a letter containing 2 words: I quit! is not advisable.... for ambiguity.
Of course, your letter must be properly addressed to the company lor......

It's actually quite a good idea to quit one job before hunting for another. Because in searching for another job, you'll have to attend interviews mah.. If youare still working, den very difficult to arrange time for interviews de. Some interviewers can arrange for interviews in the evening so that you can attend after you bunk off but most cannot.
Besides, another company wants to employ staff, they'll rather take in someone who can commence work immediately rather than wait for you to tender your resignation and serve out your notice period.
The interviewer of the other company may be paranoid that you are quitting employment from your current company, thus ruining your chances of getting employed by the new company.

When u get offered a job today that is to start next week, get an appointment letter from yr new employer immed on the spot. Employers will usually understand. If they ask why u so urgent wan the letter, tell them its for a peace of mind, cos u really keen on working 4 them so peace of mind liao the whole week can prepare for work.
DUN EVER SAY its cos last time some potential employer play you out.As a boss point of view, they will start thinking whether that employer find out something bad about u tats y end up retract the offer. Then they will tell u the job on hold 1st liaoz. -
