Job probation period

  have u all came across cases whereby after a 3 months (or more) probation period, the company decided not to hire the staff?
  
  alternately, any other interesting stories related to the topic are also welcomed.

  haven yet n hope not.... its usually the staff leave b4 probation....

  I got friends who were not hired after the 3 months probation period.

  My friend told me that he encountered difficuities on adapting the job as it is not related to what he studied in ITE.
  
  BTW due to what reasons did a person leave a job before probation period ends and what is the shortest time they stayed in the company?

  probation period is always easier to tender resignation due to shorter notice period, but u usually get a slightly lower pay than confirmed staff.
  
  i believe there are people who stayed a day or half a day. whether they're paid or not is another thing though.

  my dept got 1.. after 8 mth still not confirm and still dunno how to resign... so everyday kena scold lor...scold till he happy then he finally resign. knn..

  there's 1 guy in my company who left after 1 week. i believe it's because another company with a bigger offer decided to hire him after he had joined us.

  but there are also people who left within the probation period because he/she feels that he/she is unsuitable for the job etc right?

  if unsuitable then why apply for the job in the 1st place? why go for the interview? why accept the job?

  sometimes is the environment... so probation period also a time for the employee to assess the company too...
