Mine always use my name to "support" himself and whatever he said. Even if I didn't know and never hear... but when things go wrong, he's one slippery fellow and I get sh!t. although he is new to your company, doesn't mean he is new to the workforce. since he is older than u, he might be trying to push u again using his seniority in age.
other possibility might be because he sees u as the only person with the privilege to use the internet while the rest couldn't. can his computer excess the internet as well? if no, he might be jealous that someone as young as u can use, while someone as old as him cannot.
worst is when he catches u surfing webs, doing other stuffs other than work.
lastly since u mention that he threaten your position, he might be using every opportunity he can get to catch your mistake. -

My office got one siao charbor like she queen! My boss always tell me to give in to her if she don't want to do her work, even my senior engiineer also must say sorry to her, when she don't know who to contact she shout at me and demand i tell her who to contact what she work there longer than me don't know how to get the info? Then in front of the MD she even raise her voice at me when i am employed several grade higher than her yet my grade in the company is many thousands of grade lower than others!
So a lot of scheming people use this kind of woodbridge siao chabor know she got a simple mind to anyhow bark and bite at people they don't like. Also this siao charbor like to anyhow spoil things then say supplier damage then she got job to do
