Altho this is the regulation, but many employers choose to give time off instead of money.Originally posted by Manager433:*Applicable to all workmen regardless of their salary level and to employees who are in receipt of basic salaries not exceeding $1600 per month.
Do take note:
Overtime has to be paid if the employee is required to work beyond his contractual hours of work.
Payment for overtime work must be paid within 14 days after the last day of the salary period.
Rate of payment for overtime work:
The rate of payment is 1.5 times the employee's hourly basic rate of pay.
(a) For a monthly-rated employee, his hourly basic rate of pay is computed as follows:
12 X Monthly Basic Rate of Pay / 52 X 44
His overtime pay will be
12 X Monthly Basic Rate of Pay (divided by) 52 X 44 X 1.5 X Number of Hours of overtime worked.
And if you are require to work on a Sunday ( REST DAY ) at employee's request,
- 2 day's basic rate of pay for work exceeding half but up to the normal contractual working hours; and
- 1 day's basic rate of pay for work up to half the normal contractual working hours.
at least your Sunday rate is way better than mine. i get only $40 even if i work the whole sunday.Originally posted by Manager433:And if you are require to work on a Sunday ( REST DAY ) at employee's request,
