Is there really a job that is 9 to 5?

seriously i doubt this kind of job even exists. most of us works 8.30 to 6. some even earlier. so where can we find 9 to 5 jobs in singapore?
since we are at it, what are you guys/girls' working hours? -
9 to 6
with 1hr lunch, sometimes exceed
and unlimited smoke breaks -
of course! in msia that is. pple run off when it's five and they have a 4 hours lunch break every fri for prayers.

can....if ur job official hours is 9-1... then u work 9 - 5 loh...

It's not just Singapore. Over here in Melbourne, I used to stick to 38.5 hours a week, but even then I still stuck around till 3 am when my US clients needed something done quickly. Currently, I'm typically at the office from 8.30 till 6.30, but again, leaving the office at 1 am is not unusual. The work's interesting so I've got no complaints.

offical time is 0830-1800
i normally reach 9++ and leave at 1730
boss dont care as long as we get the job done -
for me, nsf everyday report at 0745 and can go back at 1730.

media and entertainment industries a lot are smokers.......

and then hor.. my colleagues 530 also no go home de leh.. some of them stay till 8 plus, 9pm and even go back during weekends. really so many things to do meh? or fake hardworking?

know a few mnc award to department wic knocks off early but without much success...cos ppl wld juz go bk off few hrs later... -
sigh.... mine 8.30 to 5.50 week days.
but normally sat need to work till 4 pm. but tomorrow still need to go for at 10am. almost 7 days work liao. it taking my time with my family. really envy those working 5 days work one -

It's hard to fake hardworking.
I think they're just addicted to work, letting it overlap into their own social life.
If they have to stay overtime to finish up the work often, it's clear that HR didn't hire enough people. -

i always try to finish my work by 5.30pm de..
but they always tell me not urgent, dun need to stay mah.

mine is 7.15 to 3 or 4 plus. i go off on time unless there is work i die die must finish today. even if OT i only stay back 1 or 2 hrs. i dont like to spend my non-working hours at my workplace. i rather go home and watch dramas.

mi attachment office de standard hours (including normal staff) is 9 to 6.

My work hours are 8am to 4pm with half an hour's lunch. We get 2 breaks of 15 minutes each.
But seriously, nobody cares. Most of us work independently and the environment is "as long as you deliver, they don't give a darn". Results, gib me the results!!!! -

If I were you guys. I will say enjoy the work and life. Forget about bonus..
