the person sleeping will reply if he is not in very deep sleep, but the words are probably irrelevant to what you are asking.Originally posted by foxwalk:i didnt think it could happen to but it did. maybe he wasnt in very deep sleep, because he told me he dreamt that he was talking to me. (as in he thinks what he said to me he said it in his dream, while i'm 100% awake)...
maybe it's like last time when i fell asleep, and told him to keep quiet cuz i was a teacher..
lol..Originally posted by foxwalk:the funny thing is we were able to have a normal conversation and he fully understood me! it was funny though. the conversation i recorded started off with him telling me we got married yesterday and ended with him saying "not yet" when asked if we were married.
no lah, he's aware of what he's saying... and i wouldnt need or want to do that..Originally posted by the.raven:lol..
maybe next time I ask
whats your atm password.
that's an interesting question...Originally posted by thinger:the question is,
what do blind people dream about?
because, as far as you remember, all your dreams are about visual images arent they? so what do the blind see?
they probably cant see Shit, because there is no image stored in their brain but maybe can see light?Originally posted by thinger:the question is,

haa..how do they see light?Originally posted by the.raven:they probably cant see Shit, because there is no image stored in their brain but maybe can see light?
maybe he was like, in the same state of mind as if you were if you were hypnotized?Originally posted by poon cho tang:yes, u can tok to his sub-conscious
what I mean is, instead of dreaming of blackness, which is quite unlikely, because their brain at least will be thinking of something. they will probably see weird blurry images of colors and light. thats what I think, u have to ask a blind person.Originally posted by thinger:haa..how do they see light?
but how does a blind person know what blurry images of light look like if they were completely blind?Originally posted by the.raven:what I mean is, instead of dreaming of blackness, which is quite unlikely, because their brain at least will be thinking of something. they will probably see weird blurry images of colors and light. thats what I think, u have to ask a blind person.
the brain can process those signals what....he just cant see clear images because his brain got no clear images stored.Originally posted by thinger:but how does a blind person know what blurry images of light look like if they were completely blind?

Sorry my friend I am not really sure about this myself (Nothing in my textbook)Originally posted by foxwalk:yesterday my boyfriend fell asleep when i was talking to him and i wasnt aware until he started to tell me pretty weird things (like we are married, and someone was trying to steal our wedding picture, and we are already working, and we are in our bedroom[when we were actually in the dorm])..
the thing is i talked to him throughout his dream-sleep. when he woke 2 mintues later, he realized he had been dreaming all that.
is that possible?
i recorded the conversation on my hp and i find it funny to listen to the conversation.
can any psychology knowledgable person comment on this?
Interesting question. Must do some research on this.Originally posted by thinger:but how does a blind person know what blurry images of light look like if they were completely blind?

But I did come across so interesting researches related to your question i.e. regarding processing unconscious information.
By right a person under anesthesia (unconscious) can neither hear nor recall what goes on in the operating room (Thank goodness). But is this really the case?
‘A group of researchers at a rehabilitation hospital in Chicago tested the effects of a message on patients undergoing back surgery. The patients were under total anesthesia at the time; presumably they had no awareness of what was going on in surgery.
The single most common postoperative complication for this sort of surgery is the inability to urinate voluntarily. The medical solution is catheterization. The researchers, however, tried another route. Near the end of the surgery, while the patient was still anesthetized, the surgeon addressed the patient by name and said:
[b]The operation has gone well and weÂ’ll soon be finishing. You will be flat on your back for the next couple of days. When you are waiting it would be good idea if you relax the muscles in the pelvic area. This will help you to urinate, so you wonÂ’t need a catheter.
The results were striking. According to the researchers, not a single patient given this suggestion needed a catheter after surgery.
Taken from ‘The Psychology of Self-Deception’ by Daniel Golman, Ph.D.
Conclusion, it is possible to communicate to a person who is not in a conscious state.

Let me fix an appointment for him to exam his head.Originally posted by foxwalk:but to have him reply to everything u ask is quite amazing and unbelievable!
